Today marks the 144th anniversary of Gandhi’s birthday as well as the International Day of Non-Violence. I feel honoured to have his courage, compassion, and resilience to observe for evidence of how we can change the world with a set mind and an open heart.
On this day, I have a task, a challenge for you.
Since it is, in Gandhi’s honour, the International Day of Non-Violence, I dare you to fulfill a task of non-violence, one that has long been overdue.
Whom have you been neglecting to make peace with? Who deserves your apology? Who deserves your forgiveness?
Today, I challenge you to reach out to someone you have been neglecting reaching out to and practice forgiveness, love, and acceptance. How can you forgive someone or forgive yourself?
For inspiration in your task, please enjoy these beautiful and inspiration words from Gandhi:
“The future depends on what you do today.”
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
“Hate the sin, love the sinner.”
“Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love.”
“You may never know what results come of your actions, but if you do nothing, there will be no results.”
“My Life is My Message”
I’m sending you peace and love, as always, friends. Namaste.
